How is laser a solution to the problem

Spider veins on the face and legs bother many people. Advanced laser technology can effectively treat spider or facial veins. The laser delivers a dose of energy with a beam of light to the veins while sparing the surrounding area. This energy coagulates the blood in those spider veins, and after the treatments, the vessels slowly and naturally disappear.

How many treatments are required ?

Results are seen within three to four weeks. Typically, one to two treatments are recommended. More may be recommended based on the size and character of the veins. Dr. Zakhary will be able to estimate this for you at your consultation.

Can we be sure that this will work on my veins ?

This is something that must be determined with each patient individually, but the majority of patients will benefit from this treatment.

Is this treatment difficult ?

This is an easy treatment. This is a non-invasive treatment process that takes between 10 to 20 minutes, depending on your situation. After treatment, there is no down time. You can usually resume all of your normal activities immediately afterward.

Is the treatment painful ?

This is not a painful treatment. There may be some minor discomfort associated with this laser treatment. Most patients describe the sensation of as series of rubber bands snapping the skin. We can often reduce or eliminate this be cooling the treated area with an air cooling device.

What other conditions does the laser treat ?

In addition to facial and leg spider veins, the laser can provide non-invasive skin treatments for healthier looking skin in people who have Roscea or a ruddy complexion. It is also used to remove unwanted hair even from patients who are not always good candidates for laser hair removal, such as those with darker or tanned skin.
